E.L.V. Denim, a sustainable brand founded by fashion stylist Anna Foster that has environmental and social responsibility at its very core, is collaborating with Swarovski to bring forth a capsule collection made with 100 per cent upcycled denim fabric and crystals, to promote the cause for conscious designing.
The collection, which features seven unique items, includes East London-based E.L.V. Denim’s signature zero waste jeans and denim jackets.
All designs are individually handmade along with using technical finishing securing the processes of hot fixing and sewing the Swarovski crystals.
The collaboration is part of Swarovski’s Conscious Design programme, an initiative to promote circularity and upcycling in designing.
Even the crystals provided for the collection are being given a new life as Swarovski wants to make upcycling of resources a norm in the fashion community.
The E.L.V Denim x Swarovski collection will retail starting 650 to 2,200 pounds, 13 July onwards on the denim brand’s official website.
Speaking on the capsule collection, Anna Foster said, “I truly admire Swarovski’s commitment to sustainable development. Rather than down cycling their crystal they have used it as a positive resource, allowing brands such as myself to use them creatively, producing limited-edition capsule collections.”
