The Bangladesh Terry Towel & Linen Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BTTLMEA) has announced its newly elected office bearers and board of directors for the 2026–2027 tenure, bringing together a slate of experienced industry leaders from the country’s terry towel and home-textile sectors.
The new leadership assumes responsibility at a time when Bangladesh’s home-textile exporters are grappling with global demand uncertainty, rising production costs, and tightening compliance requirements across major international markets.
M Shahadat Hossain has been elected President of BTTLMEA for the upcoming term. He also serves as Managing Director of Towel Tex Limited and brings decades of experience in export-oriented terry towel manufacturing. Abdullah Mohammad Talha has been elected Senior Vice President of the association. Talha, the CEO and Managing Director of Noman Terry Towel Mills Limited, is expected to help drive strategic initiatives aimed at improving competitiveness and expanding export reach.
Belayet Hossain has been elected Vice President. As Managing Director of RTT Textile Ind. (Pvt.) Limited, he is set to contribute operational and export-management expertise to the association’s leadership.
The board of directors for the 2026–2027 term includes Main Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director of Shamsuddin Towels Limited; Md Naser Kamal, Managing Director of Stylus Towels Limited; Faizah Mehmood, Deputy Managing Director of Anwar Silk Mills Limited; and Ummey Rowman Hoq, FCCA, Director of Nasco Textiles Limited.
Industry observers noted that the combination of senior entrepreneurs and next-generation leaders positions BTTLMEA to strengthen its advocacy on behalf of exporters, particularly in areas such as stable energy supply, sustainable production, and access to emerging global markets.
BTTLMEA officials said the association would continue its collaboration with policymakers, international buyers, and development partners to support Bangladesh’s terry towel and linen exporters and reinforce the country’s standing in the global home-textile value chain.
