To improve safety and security in the apparel sector, several Bangladeshi factories, like Impress Newtex Composite Textiles Ltd., are now using community policing. In light of the nation’s current sociopolitical climate, this project promotes the creation of community police units inside manufacturing grounds to safeguard these important national economic assets.
To guarantee a safer workplace, factory managers and employees are receiving training, and other units are being urged to take comparable actions to safeguard Bangladesh’s crucial industrial sector.
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Director, Mohiuddin Rubel, stated, “We strongly encourage our factories to set up community police.” To safeguard our sector, we are educating them and collaborating with them. We must cooperate to safeguard our industries, which are a national heritage. Everyone is urged to improve factory safety.
This achievement is consistent with larger initiatives aimed at stabilising the textile and garment industries in Bangladesh.
