The Better Buying Partnership Index™ survey opens for its third cycle from 2nd October – 3rd November. The survey calls on manufacturers in the global apparel sector to anonymously rate their brand partners’ purchasing practices.
The multi-stakeholder effort The Industry We Want (TIWW), in collaboration with the Better Buying Institute, intends to gather information through this yearly temperature check that will assist the apparel and footwear industries transform more quickly.
Manufacturers in the garment industry are being urged by The Industry We Want to take the poll in order to influence change for both their businesses and the sector as a whole. Manufacturers are asked to share the survey with brands, retailers, and other stakeholders.
The survey findings will be included in the 2024 Industry Dashboard, which will be unveiled at the OECD Forum in February 2024, and will feed TIWW’s purchasing practises statistic. Insights about the dangers associated with brands’ purchasing practises will be gained from the responses, which will also assist suppliers in better negotiating with their brand partners to establish more ethical purchasing practises. The goal of this cross-sector partnership is to create more equitable conditions and guarantee better and more lucrative business for all stakeholders.
Based on this information, producers and brands may collaborate to identify solution paths and encourage shared accountability, transforming transient connections into genuine, long-term partnerships.
