Starting 1st January, 2025, the AATCC Journal of Research (AJOR) will be accessible to everyone as an Open Access Journal. This transition will allow textile industry researchers and professionals worldwide to access vital information on textile chemistry, coloration, testing, and advanced materials without any cost barriers.
Previously, access to AJOR required AATCC membership or a paid subscription. The shift to open access means that all past and present articles will be freely available, promoting widespread dissemination of high-quality, peer-reviewed information. This move aligns with AATCC’s mission to enhance education and knowledge within the industry.
The decision was strongly supported by AJOR’s editorial team, including Editor-in-Chief Dr. Gang Sun (University of California, Davis), Deputy Editor Dr. Chi Wai Kan (Hong Kong Polytechnic University), and Publications Chair Dr. Jiping Wang (Shanghai University of Engineering Science).
