
The indefinite strike by powerloom weavers in textile park in Telangana over the wage issue has been called off following an assurance given by the owners to increase the wages as per agreement made earlier. More than 500 powerloom weavers working in the textile park returned to duties on Wednesday.
The textile park powerloom owners had told the workers of paying wages of Rs. 0.36 paisa per design of fabric against the existing rate of Rs. 0.33 paisa per design.

On the other hand, Rajanna Sircilla district collector, warns to register case if owners, traders, trade union leaders and officials fail to provide wages as per the Act being demanded by the trade unions.
