
The UK-based carbon fibre textile manufacturer Sigmatex is planning to invest US $ 12 million in a facility at the Orangeburg County in the coming five years which will initially create 50 new jobs; operation are expected to start from mid-2015. The facility will be on about 20 acres and will further allow expansion up to 150,000 square feet. The firm creates carbon fibre textiles for composite materials, converting millions of pounds of carbon fibre each year for major projects that require high levels of quality and reliability.
