Many starts-ups in apparel sector are coming up with niche products and innovative ideas. Nadaade, a brand of wellness intimatewear, is a new name in this list. Saju. S.S, MD and Sreevidya J, CEO of this venture, does not have much experience of textile or apparel industry. But the Kerala-based duo is enthusiastic about their initiative as they strongly observe the ample scope in their product offering.
“We are coming out with wellness innerwear for women. For that fabric will be dyed with natural dyes and treated accordingly. A lot of herbs will be used for this process which will bring wellness to the skin. We see good opportunities in this niche product category as people face skin problems and want to cure via natural and sustainable solutions.” – Saju. S.S (R), MD and Sreevidya J, CEO, Nadade
In future the duo does have the plan to start innerwear for transgenders.
“Sampling for this is under process as we are in touch with some overseas companies and an Indian apparel manufacturer for the same. Being new to the industry, we are exploring the opportunities, understanding the market and the manufacturing methods… We are also attending various seminars and sourcing event and soon we will hit the market through various channels.” – Saju.
