
Global home furnishing giant IKEA has decided to increase its store count and workforce in UK. According to media reports, the retailer will open stores in Sheffield in northern England later this year, and in Exeter and Greenwich by 2018.
At least 1,300 new jobs are expected to be created once these stores become operational. The new jobs will increase the company’s workforce in Britain and Ireland to about 11,700, the company said.

Since its 1943 founding in Sweden, IKEA has offered home furnishings of good design and function at low prices so the majority of people can afford them. There are currently more than 380 IKEA stores in 48 countries, including 43 in the US.
