The Esquel Group, one of the largest manufacturers of woven garments based in Hong Kong, will be incorporating anti-counterfeit (AC) fibres from YPB Group Ltd. into their clothing labels.
The decision was taken by Esquel to respond to the requirements of two of their esteemed brands.
The YPB Group has expressed delight over the initial orders of AC fibre by Esquel, which amounts to a gross revenue of 100,000 RMB.
The Group hopes to get more orders from the manufacturing giant based on unit volumes. It believes that once other brands of Esquel decide to go for AC fibres to protect against counterfeiting, the orders will go up and so will the revenue.
Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren and Nike are among the several big brands that are currently associated with the Esquel Group.
While taking pride in the fact that YPB is the only firm to provide AC fibers with invisible tracer technology in China, John Houston, Chief Executive Officer, YPB Group Limited, stated that the brands are able to use YPB’s scanner to find out if the AC fibres are present or not in each shirt label.
He added “This enables the brands to not only detect counterfeit products but also confirm authenticity throughout the supply chain through either stock take processes or simple spot checks.”
The YPB Group Ltd. brings packaging to life through its proprietary technology suite that provides authenticity and connects brands directly to consumers.
