Lacoste Sourcing Operations has appointed Deepika Praveen as Sourcing Manager – India Region, strengthening its sourcing leadership in the country.
In her new role, Praveen will focus on enhancing sourcing capabilities, driving closer collaboration with suppliers and supporting Lacoste’s sourcing and product strategies across the Indian market.
Prior to joining Lacoste, Praveen built a substantial sourcing career at Ralph Lauren, where she progressed through several roles, including Sourcing Specialist (Knits), Senior Sourcing Specialist and Associate Sourcing Manager. During her tenure, she gained experience in product sourcing, garment costing, capacity utilisation and merchandising strategies, working closely with vendors to align quality standards, delivery timelines and commercial objectives.
Earlier in her career, she was associated with Tesco Sourcing as a Commercial Merchandiser, handling kids’ and babies’ categories across jersey and woven products. Her responsibilities included managing supplier relationships, overseeing end-to-end merchandising activities and supporting sourcing strategies with a strong emphasis on execution and coordination.
Praveen has also held merchandising roles at Ambattur Clothing Ltd, Fifth Avenue Impex Pvt Ltd, Karle Group and Bombay Rayon Fashions Limited. Across these organisations, she worked with international brands spanning woven and knit categories, building broad industry exposure that positions her to contribute to Lacoste’s sourcing operations in India.
