
The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) will be hosting a two-day Global Textile Conclave 2018 (GTC 2018) next month at New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan, from 27th to 28th November.
Being a part of CITI’s 60th anniversary of servicing the T&C sector, the event will be themed around ‘Disruptions and Innovations for Sustainable Growth’.
Sanjay K Jain, Chairman, CITI said that the event will mark interactions with international T&C businessmen, buyer-seller meet, exhibitions and an award function along with the launch of special publication and reports covering the entire journey of the CITI and the T&C industry. “In simple terms, it will cover the entire textile value chain from “FARM to FASHION” and will be one of the largest ever Textile Industry events in the country,” the chairman added.
CITI’s chairman also pointed out that they have invited Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to inaugurate the GTC 2018 on 27th November 2018 and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu to deliver the Valedictory Address on the last day of the event.
Jain further emphasized that this event will be beneficial for the participants to learn and understand the dynamics of the industry. “The event will provide the opportunity for participants to interact with a selective group of 800-1000 peers from global textile & clothing industry,” he said.
GTC 2018 will be portraying ideas, innovative technologies and best practices to attain sustainable surge in the industry. The event will also offer a few separate sessions with ‘Partner States’, ‘Partner Countries’ and ‘Senior Government Officials’.
With Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu and Union Minister of Textiles, Smriti Zubin Irani already agreeing to be a part of the event, along with other senior government officials, Sanjay Jain is expecting a huge footfall at the do that has invited over 72 international associations.
