Vans, a skate and streetwear company owned by VF Corporation, has introduced a new premium line called OTW by Vans to provide a more “elevated product and brand experience” and to bring together pioneers in the fields of art, design, fashion, skate culture, and entertainment.
According to a statement from Vans, OTW by Vans is a fresh idea that Ian Ginoza, vice president of creative direction for Pinnacle, developed. It is a platform intended to push limits and confront norms. In order to challenge the brand’s skateboarding roots and “to drive a distinct and unique point of view,” Ginoza spearheaded OTW by Vans after joining the firm last year to lead partnerships with designers and creatives.
Commenting on the launch, Ginoza said, “We are rooting the next chapter of Vans in the attitude and mindset of the brand’s true self, defined and shaped by the community of original disruptors.”
Vans noted that the first release from OTW by Vans is anticipated for early 2024, following the closure of the Vault by Vans product chapter at the end of 2023. Then, OTW by Vans will debut with a unique online shopping experience and be offered through a carefully chosen network of wholesale partners around the world.
With two distinct lines under OTW by Vans, the premium label will sell apparel and footwear. OTW is a designated area for product exploration with collaborators “to push the edges of design expression,” and Premium Standard is an elevated premium collection of classics drawn from its collection of iconic silhouettes.
