Thanks to licensing sales and Americas wholesale revenues, US clothing retailer Guess saw its Q1 revenue surge by 14 per cent to post US $ 593.5 million.
The same quarter, a year back, saw the fashion retailer post US $ 520 million.
The Q1 retail comp sales (including e-commerce) for the retailer rose by 3 per cent, with Americas retail revenue going up by 7 per cent. Notably, Americas wholesale revenues shot up by an impressive 50 per cent during the said period.
Region-wise, revenues across Europe rose by 14 per cent in US dollars and 26 per cent in constant currency, while the same in Asia increased by 1 per cent in US dollars and 8 per cent in constant currency.
The retailer’s licensing revenues rose by 23 per cent.
Moving forward, Guess expects FY’23 revenues to grow by around 4 per cent in US dollars and 10 per cent in constant currency.
Founded in 1981, Guess is an American clothing brand and retailer, which makes clothes for men and women. It also markets fashion accessories such as shoes and watches, amongst others.
