Sustainable British underwear start-up Pantee has raised £190,000 – through direct outreach and investment firm Angel Investment Network.
The underwear label closed the raise in January 2022 and, reportedly, will use the funds to expand its team and create brand awareness.
Pantee also plans to use the funds to invest in sustainability credentials and accreditation.
Here it is important to mention that Pantee uses deadstock from factories based in Bangladesh, which is then cut and sewn to make underwear.
Substantiating further, Amanda McCourt, Co-founder, Pantee, said that ranges are made in a Bangladesh facility that meets strict labour standards.
Amanda also added “The ethical production process ensures pay above the living wage, management positions for women and yearly bonuses.”
Notably, retail prices start at £20 for briefs and £59 for a set.
Amanda is also optimistic about 2022 with support from its investors who share Pantee’s vision about its future.
Founded by Amanda and her sister Katie, Pantee boasts of being world’s first underwear label made from T-shirts.
