
Shopee, the Singapore-based e-commerce marketplace, is all set to celebrate Indonesia’s homegrown fashion brand Erigo.
And how! The e-commerce platform and Erigo together will present a series of festivities and invite users to show support through an exclusive collaboration titled ‘Erigo x Shopee New York Fashion Week 2022’.
The Erigo X collection will be showcased at the event to be held from 9 to 11 September.
Through Erigo X Shopee NYFW 2022, Shopee would like to reaffirm its commitment and passion in supporting the development and potential of local businesses that are a significant part of the Shopee ecosystem.
This collaboration is also part of Shopee’s effort to strengthen the reach of homegrown brands in their own country, and exhibit the good quality of locally-made products.
An elated Handhika Jahja, Director of Shopee Indonesia, said, “We are proud to witness the extraordinary progress of Erigo so far, and to finally be able to deliver ‘Made in Indonesia’ products to an international stage. Erigo is one of the 180,000 local MSMEs fostered by Shopee that have successfully penetrated the global market through the Shopee Export Program.”
Last year, the brand had participated in the Shopee Export Program, Kreasi Nusantara: From Local To Global, where it succeeded in foraying into other markets like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines.
Conforming to what Handhika said, Muhammad Sadad, CEO, Erigo, averred “Erigo’s ability to penetrate into the global market certainly cannot be separated from the support and assistance we got from Shopee. The various programmes held by Shopee have greatly helped the development of our business and realised our dream of bringing Erigo products to consumers in other countries.”
He added “We are very encouraged by the love and enthusiasm from Shopee users in Indonesia and around the region, empowering us to continue innovating the brand until we finally had an opportunity to represent Indonesia at the biggest fashion show in New York.
Some of the attractions of the event include livestream of Erigo’s appearance at NYFW on Shopee Live (Indonesia only) on 9 September, 8pm- 8:20pm in addition to exclusive availability of Erigo NYFW runway collection on the Erigo official store on Shopee Mall.
Besides, shoppers can enjoy up to 90 per cent discount on various Erigo products, and also buy Mystery Box of Erigo products for only under IDR 100,000.
Shopee was launched in Singapore in 2015, and soon it expanded to other countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia and Japan.
