Eco conscious clothing brand Sheep Inc. has raised US $ 6.45 million in its recent seed funding round, committing to further strengthening its sustainability goals to ‘redefine’ the fashion industry.
The funding round was led by Inside Out LLC, an impact investment holding company, which aims to support Sheep’s mission to “radically redefine” the fashion industry and the other investors involve a former Deloitte partner, entrepreneur Erik Stangvik and Blair Knippel.
Sheep Inc. is largely known for being one of the very firsts in the fashion industry to achieve a carbon negative supply chain and having high quality Merino wool garments.
Edzard van der Wyck, Sheep Inc. co-founder, has said that investors including Suzy, Erik, and Blair, echo similar sentiment in terms of redefining the fashion industry – ‘environmentally, socially and technologically’.
CEO of Inside Out LLC, Suzy Amis Cameron, further emphasised Sheep Inc.’s commitment to ‘responsible fashion’ and setting transparency and quality benchmarks.
