In tribute to Seve Ballesteros, the renowned Spanish golfer who dominated the sport from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s, the SEVE brand credits his legacy by introducing a new golf apparel collection. The collection launches online on 22nd July, overlapping with the 40th anniversary of Seve’s 1984 Open victory.
The first collection, designed from cotton, cashmere, and advanced 4-way stretch technical fabrics, features important items such as trousers, shorts, polos, caps, knitted sweaters, and visors, available in five colour palettes. The collection will be offered for purchase starting via sevecollection.com and at key golf retailers across Europe, including Royal Dublin, which hosted a Seve Irish Open victory.
Carmen, Javier, and Miguel Ballesteros remarked, “Our father was not only one of the best golfers of all time but also renowned for his supreme sense of fashion and distinctive style. The SEVE brand and its debut collection summarise everything he stood for, audacious, bold, courageous, and unafraid to defy conventions. We are excited for golfers across Europe to embrace his style through this collection.”
Renowned not only for his sporting prowess but also for his immaculate fashion sense, Seve’s popular monochromatic outfits serve as a main inspiration for the first 24/25 collection. The debut collection will also include special collaborations, including a limited-edition Slazenger cashmere sweater motivated by Seve’s iconic attire from his ’84 Open victory, Sunderland rainwear, and a headwear collaboration with Imperial.
