
As Russia continues to struggle owing to the void created by the mass exodus of fashion retail companies of the west, the country is now looking at east to find alternatives.
Substantiating on the same, the Russian Council of Shopping Centres (RCSC) has, reportedly, said that it is looking at China, India, Iran and Turkey to fix the gap.
The RCSC has added that it is currently negotiating with its corresponding representatives in all the four countries mentioned above, with the intent to finding alternatives to western fashion brands.
As per a statement on RCSC’s website, a list of foreign companies that have temporarily shut their business in Russia was sent to them so that appropriate equivalents can be found.
This, reportedly, will help supplement or completely replace goods of the defunct brands with those of a similar quality and design.
Notably, RCSC consists of developers and shopping centre owners in addition to comprising retail chain operators.
