
rue21, the American fashion retailer of women’s apparels, is all set to expand its plus size offerings in 61 more stores in the first quarter of 2020.
This will, reportedly, increase the retailer’s number of stores offering plus size items to 318.
The fashion label at present runs as many as 690 stores in the United States.
The 61 stores will be open in the states of Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Utah and Wisconsin.
Speaking more about the development, Michael C. Appel, CEO, rue21, said “Our customers have told us that they want rue21 to have Plus. With this expansion, rue21 can offer young women and girls of all sizes the coolest, most fashionable clothes at great prices.” In a statement released by the firm, it was clearly mentioned that sizes will go up to 4X.
