A charming personification of the South American spirit, famous actor Reese Witherspoon and her lifestyle brand, Draper James is joining hands with luxury e-tailer Net-a-Porter for a summer capsule collection. The collaboration is an embodiment of Witherspoon’s faultless lady-like bravura and chirpy demeanour, which is also the USP of her lifestyle brand that was launched in 2015.

Talking about her foray into wholesale with the e-commerce site and the collection at large, which launches on May 18, Witherspoon noted, “The inspiration was a summer garden party, with all the dresses you end up buying in the summer to go to weddings and in the South to go to steeple chases.”
The line is priced at comparatively reasonable point for the general Net-a-Porter client starting from US $ 150 and the collection contains preppy dresses, tops, A-line skirts, jumpsuits in pastel colours and finished with heritage prints like magnolia and ginghams.
Lisa Aiken, Retail Fashion Director, Net-a-Porter said, “Draper James has perfected easy summer dressing with a charmingly feminine aesthetic. It offers something new and different to the Net-a-porter customer, which we are always looking for, as well as opening us up to a new audience.” Remarking on the Reese’s idea that fashion doesn’t have to just be in New York and L.A but it is essentially comes from all over the country, she also added, “Reese was very involved in the development of this collection, so much in fact that she would Skype in for our design meetings. We took what Draper James was doing with their existing collection and gave it that Net-a-Porter spin by dropping hem lengths, exaggerating sleeves, offering off the shoulder necklines and simplifying the print. In essence it’s what Draper James was doing and adding a little bit of a fashion twist.”
