London-based luxury womenswear brand With Nothing Underneath (WNU) has raised US $ 3.24 million in its first funding round. The first round closed with brands like Pembroke VCT and JamJar Investments on board. WNU is eyeing an international expansion plan with the amount raised.
Pip Durell founded WNU in 2017, inspired by comfortable men’s tailored garments. WNU has ‘relaxed fit long shirts range depicting laid back, timeless, effortless clothing’.
The brand has managed to organically catch celebrity attention of popular names like Florence Pugh, Emily Ratajkowski and Cara Delevingne. It has been a profitable enterprise since the start of its journey and has triple-figure growth of 130 per cent in 2023.
With its first London store in 2022, WNU plans to continue growing the brand presence in United Kingdom by adding more stores in the country. In addition to its UK expansion plans, WNU also plans to enter the American and European marketplaces.
The funds will also be focused on hiring of senior leadership and developing a new range of products as the latest trouser launch in September turned out to be a huge success. The founder also expressed the brand is thrilled to have ‘experienced’ and ‘knowledgeable partners’ on board to help with the next phase of their growth.
