According to Myntra, a lifestyle e-commerce company, the number of Gen Z customers has doubled from over 8 million in mid-2023 to 16 million in 2024. According to the statement, Myntra’s app-in-app GenZ fashion category FWD was the main driver of growth.
“As the trend-first online fashion market is predicted to expand by over eight times to a US $ 5 billion market by 2028, Myntra’s FWD is leading the charge in redefining fashion for the younger generation in India, demonstrating Myntra’s dedication to staying ahead of Gen Z’s quickly changing tastes and trends,” a company statement said.
In the upcoming years, Flipkart-owned Myntra hopes to recruit another 20–25 million Gen Z—those born in the late 1990s and early 2000s—as clients.
“Through the use of cutting-edge technology, we hope to double our client growth and further establish ourselves in the market by improving each touchpoint—from selection through discovery to delivery,” Myntra CMO Sunder Balasubramanian said.
