Marks & Spencer – also known as M&S – is set to expand its third-party childrenswear offering in stores.
The British fashion retailer, reportedly, also expressed its plans to add new brands online.
Come summer and M&S will launch Clarks to 27 of its stores, while introducing Hype to 8 stores and Smiggle to 60 stores.
The store expansion of Smiggle, Hype and Clarks follows a successful trial in eight UK stores for the back-to-school period last year.
Besides, the retailer will be introducing Jansport and Kickers to e-commerce platform M&S.com.
Notably, there will be in-store services that include free measuring and fitting for footwear. Also, M&S will offer complementary new school accessories.
The retailer said the stores that launched Clarks’ measure-and-fit service benefited from an 8 per cent rise –on average – in customers in store, and a 13 per cent surge in overall kidswear sales.
Founded in 1884, M&S generated £10,181.9 million in 2020.
