
The first-ever evening wear collection from the mother-daughter duo for the Mumbai-based brand Moonray is now available both flagship store and online.
The company’s latest range of women’s clothing is the first in a series of limited-edition capsule collections designed to encourage accessibility in eveningwear and appeal to a range of age groups.
The brand, which focuses on sustainable craft techniques and has an experimental, fusion-style aesthetic, said in an interview with a reporter that it will continue to donate half of its profits to registered not-for-profit organisations that support children’s education and animal welfare.
In its eveningwear line, reflective sequins play with light for a futuristic look while translucent layers add an ethereal touch. Vivid colours like neon yellow and magenta pop against more subdued hues like silver grey. The overall effect is feminine and fun, making this collection perfect for any woman who wants to feel stylish and confident at her next special event.
“Moonray’s evening edit ‘total internal reflection’ is the first in the series of our limited-edition silver moon capsules,” Moonray’s Co-founder Karishma Swali said during the launch.
“We are inspired by a phenomenon that occurs when an object reflects a hundred per cent of the light passing through it. With this collection, we truly indulge our flair for luxe and embellishments, proposing a sense of glamour without detracting from comfort. Expect hand-embroidered crystal chains that add a high-impact attitude to body-friendly silhouettes; beaded embroideries symbolic of reflection and refraction and accessories like elbow-length gloves, bags, belts, and brooches with fringe details in silver.”
Since its debut, the company has grown to add new product categories, including jewellery, footwear and more.
