
American luxury accessories and ready-to-wear fashion house, Michael Kors has announced the appointment of Thomas J. Edwards, Jr. as their new Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer who will join the company immediately. Edwards is succeeding Joseph B. Parsons who has been with the company for 13 years. Parsons will continue in his position till the expiration of his contract on August 1, 2017 and plans to retire after the same.

“Tom is a veteran in the global consumer goods industry and a proven financial and operational leader. He will be instrumental to us as we continue to execute on our key growth and operational initiatives as well as drive value for our shareholders,” said John D. Idol, Chairman and CEO of Michael Kors.
Edwards has a glorious experience in field and is joining the company from his position as Executive Vice President and CFO of Brinker International, Inc., a leading casual dining restaurant company. He also has extensive experience in the consumer goods industry, having held numerous leadership positions such as Vice President of Consumer Innovation and Marketing Services at Kraft Foods and Vice President, Finance at Nabisco Food Service Company, over the course of his career.
