The US retail major Macy’s has announced the relaunch of Epic Threads, its private brand kids clothes line, in an effort to lure back in back-to-school consumers during the summer.
About 200 products make up the redesigned Epic Threads range, which offers a variety of essentials, stylish pieces and basics to suit every attire need from the playground to the classroom. Bright tees and dresses, as well as trousers and hoodies, are among the items.
According to a press release, the collection’s pieces are all meant to be mixed and matched and are created with “feel-good and trusted fabrics,” all while committing to the use of sustainable materials.
“We are excited to introduce the refresh of Epic Threads. The brand is all about showcasing children’s optimistic world where imagination rules and kids can be kids – comfortable and confident in their favorite outfits,” said Emily Erusha-Hilleque, SVP, private brands at Macy’s.
The department store operator based in New York is trying to revamp its private label division and boost its sales, and this relaunch is just the latest step in that direction.
According to Macy’s most recent trading update, net sales decreased 2.7 per cent to US $ 4.85 billion. Based on LSEG statistics, analysts had projected a 2.42 per cent decline in sales to US $ 4.86 billion.
