Canadian activewear brand Lululemon has announced that Celeste Burgoyne, its President of the Americas and Global Guest Innovation, is set to leave the company “for a new opportunity outside of the industry”.
According to the company, she will remain in her role until the end of December 2025 to ensure a smooth transition.
Burgoyne joined Lululemon in 2006 as General Manager of US Operations and subsequently held a series of senior positions before becoming the brand’s first-ever president in 2020. The company said her nearly two-decade tenure had been marked by “significant contributions across multiple leadership roles”.
Alongside confirmation of her exit, Lululemon has named André Maestrini as President and Chief Commercial Officer, with immediate effect. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Calvin McDonald.
In the dual role, Maestrini—who joined the company in 2021 as Executive Vice President of International—will oversee all global regions, stores and digital channels. He has been tasked with leading the company’s global commercial strategy, with a focus on continued market expansion and revenue growth.
Maestrini previously spent 14 years at Adidas in a series of senior roles, including general manager positions, and was credited with helping to scale the sportswear giant’s key categories and regional markets.
