Lone Design Club (LDC), the ambitious physical venue for exposing young design talent, has teamed up with wholesale online marketplace Faire ‘to champion the future of retail’ during design Month in London.
Their inaugural joint pop-up provides rising and conscientious UK fashion designers with exclusive physical selling space, including Arctic Fox and Co, Cara & The Sky, D-Trench, Elsie & Fred, LUCia Chain, and The Knotty Ones.
They are among hundreds of creative businesses backed by Faire to sell to thousands of independent shops in the UK alongside their DTC strategy, and the new pop-up is part of LDC and Faire’s shared objective to encourage more brands to leverage both B2B and DTC channels to increase their retail footprint.
It will also be supported by Olympic gold medal diver Tom Daley, who will begin selling goods from his Made With Love brand via Faire’s network of small shops and at the pop-up in February.
Charlotte Broadbent, Faire’s UK general manager, stated, “We are helping hundreds of thousands of small companies and merchants to thrive by giving them the tools they need to succeed, whether they sell online or in-store. Many of the companies that use Faire to sell to independent retailers in the UK and abroad also have their own D2C channels, so we’re working with LDC to provide more businesses the opportunity to test and explore how this may be a complimentary approach to their wholesale operations. Our mission at Faire is focused on revolutionising the wholesale model so that we can support both independent retailers and the brands they’re buying from to grow their sales and streamline their businesses.”
Rebecca Morter, Founder & CEO of Lone Design Club, added, “Partnering with Faire to debut this collaborative area within our pop-up during Fashion Month is a momentous move for Lone Design Club as we continue to push the frontiers of retail innovation.”
