Following its “by invitation only” pop-up in London last weekend, its first “in real life” event, Vinted is launching the online version of its second-hand luxury apparel concept, “House of Vinted.”
Vinted members will be able to buy online curated designer goods from above brands, via “fashion creators” including Susie Lau, Victoria Magrath, and Anne Laing, with the items mostly selected from their own closets.
The wardrobes’ themes are influenced by the fashions of the designers as well as Vinted data, which indicates that search terms like “art deco,” “gingham,” “scandi,” “vintage,” “statement piece,” “cable knit sweaters” and “puff sleeves,” are becoming more popular.
Emma Sullivan, Creative Director at Vinted, stated that starting today, Vinted members across the UK can shop items from the specially curated wardrobes featured at the recent ‘House of Vinted’ showcase in London.
Fellow creator Victoria Magrath mentioned that Vinted has been her preferred platform for selling pre-loved luxury pieces and designer items. She will be selling several pieces with special meaning to her, inspired by the concept of ‘Art Deco Déjà vu’.
Oxfam will receive a portion of the House of Vinted clothes auction revenues, while the exact amount is unknown.
