Kids’ lifestyle brand Rosada has secured a funding deal on Shark Tank India, following a pitch by its founders, Shalu Agarwal and Bhupesh Agarwal, who presented the company’s growth trajectory and expansion strategy to the panel of investors.
Positioning itself in the children’s essentials and lifestyle segment, Rosada offers a portfolio spanning backpacks, tote bags, bedding sets, travel kits, pouches, décor items and baby bedding. Among its key products is the “Lazy Zoo” diaper backpack, designed to be lightweight and water-resistant. The company operates with in-house manufacturing capabilities, enabling tighter control over product quality, pricing structures and operating margins.
During the pitch, the founders sought Rs. 1.25 crore (US $ 137,000) in exchange for 4% equity, implying a valuation of Rs. 31.25 crore (US $ 3.43 million). They stated that the brand was established in 2013, with its dedicated e-commerce website launched in 2020. Bhupesh Agarwal joined the business full-time in January 2022, a move he indicated had contributed significantly to scaling operations and accelerating revenue growth.
Rosada serves children aged between zero and 12 years. Approximately 95% of its revenue is generated through its own website, with the balance coming from other channels. The brand has cultivated a digital audience of 135,000 followers on Instagram, supported by a monthly marketing spend of around Rs. 16 lakh. The founders indicated that this investment delivers a return on ad spend exceeding five times.
Financially, the company has recorded consistent growth. Revenue increased from Rs. 48 lakh (US $ 57,000) in FY 21–22 to Rs. 1.23 crore (US $ 135,000) in FY 22–23, rising further to Rs. 3.52 crore (US $ 386,000) in FY 23–24 and Rs. 6.48 crore (US $ 711,000) in FY 24–25. Year-to-date revenue currently stands at Rs. 6.7 crore (US $ 735,000), with projected turnover of Rs. 12.5–13 crore (US $ 1.37 million-US $ 1.42 million) for FY 25–26. The business reports an average order value of Rs. 1,990 (US $ 21.86) and a six-month repeat purchase rate of 31%.
Rosada has also begun expanding its offline presence, entering Hamleys stores in June 2025. According to the founders, each outlet is generating monthly sales of approximately Rs. 1.5–1.75 lakh (US $ 1,647-US $ 1922). In terms of revenue mix, bags contribute 60% of total sales, pouches and travel sets account for 20%, while bedding, accessories, décor and baby bedding comprise the remaining share.
Following negotiations, investors Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar and Ritesh Agarwal jointly agreed to invest Rs. 1.25 crore (US $ 137,000) for a 5% equity stake, along with a 2% royalty until the invested capital is recouped. The deal values Rosada at Rs. 25 crore (US $ 2.74 million).
