Good American, the brand co-founded by the fitness enthusiast Kardashian sister, Khloe Kardashian and her friend Emma Grede, is now venturing into activewear with its latest workout clothes collection, Good American Performance. Good American first touched the stores with its denim collection in 2016.
The new collection is now available in some selected Nordstrom stores and on their online portals since August 2nd.
The inspiration for this line rose from the fact that both the founders are fitness enthusiasts as well as mothers and this merchandise targets exactly that- women in their post-pregnancy phase who are working towards getting back in shape. They wanted the line to include clothes that would not only support an active lifestyle but would also have design details that appeal these women, to make them feel confident in their skin.
“We wanted the collection to get women through their daily, busy lives,” Khloe shared while Emma chimed in, “Khloé and I, along with our female-led design team, wanted to identify ways to improve activewear for women; so, all women can focus on doing what they need to do, whether that’s working out or accomplishing everything needed in a day.” She added that their major goal was to get the fit just right, “We know there’s nothing worse than uncomfortable, ill-fitting workout clothes. So, it was important that the Good American Performance line not only made us look and feel great, but was also very thoughtfully constructed and designed.”
The 41-piece activewear collection includes several workout tops, leggings, sport bras, jackets, sweatshirts, and hoodies. The functionality detail that stands out is the use of four-way stretch, antiperspirant, and cooling fabrics for their construction and the fact that the sizes are ‘accommodating for all’, that is, XS to 4XL, is another plus for the collection.
Another advantage is the use of these clothes as both activewear and as casual clothes for outings, like an on-the-go wardrobe facility. The four pieces that stand out are the High Waist Leggings, The Piped Bomber Jacket, The Icon Sports Bra, and the Colorblock Zipped Top, according to the co-founder Khloe Kardashian. The merchandise is priced at US $ 45 onwards.
