
Figs, Inc., a healthcare clothing brand, has selected Sarah Oughtred, a veteran in the apparel industry, as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Starting from 9th August, Oughtred will supervise all financial aspects of Figs, comprising financial planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting, and data analytics.
Having almost 17 years of experience at Lululemon, Oughtred had various finance leadership positions, ending in her role as Senior VP of FP&A since 2021. Throughout her time at Lululemon, she handled a global team of more than 100 finance professionals, worked together directly with the Senior Executive Team, and spearhead strategic financial planning processes.
Trina Spear, CEO and co-founder of Figs, shared about Oughtred joining the team, mentioning her track record in propelling Lululemon into a global apparel leader. Figs plans to leverage Oughtred’s know-how to attain its goal of becoming the foremost global brand for healthcare professionals in the long term.
Oughtred’s tenure at Lululemon saw major growth for the brand, with net revenues reaching from US $ 270 million to around US $ 10 billion and retail locations growing from less than 50 stores to more than 700. Prior to her time at Lululemon, Oughtred worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in audit and assurance, attaining experience in the consumer products and services sector.
Oughtred shared her enthusiasm about joining Figs, highlighting the company’s radical impact on the healthcare apparel industry and its robust financial foundation. She looks ahead to playing a part in Figs’ expansion through product innovation, global expansion, storytelling, and the growth of Community Hubs.
