MeUndies, a leading Los Angeles-based men’s and women’s underwear, sleepwear and loungewear brand, has announced the launch of MeUndies Swim – a new collection of swimwear made from recycled plastic bottles and recycled nylon material.
The new Swim collection follows MeUndies’ recent launch of its movement-inspired Breathe collection, which marked the first time the company introduced a new fabric to its assortment.
“MeUndies Swim has been a long requested category by our community, and so our team put in dedicated work to bring a sustainable, super comfortable swim collection to life,” said Jonathan Shokrian, Founder and CEO of MeUndies. “Our new swim line is special because it stays true to our commitments to comfort, sustainability, and self-expression. Not only is it made from recycled plastic, but it comes in a variety of colors, vibrant prints, cuts, and sizes. Everything our customers love about our underwear and loungewear is now available with our swim collection,” Jonathan added.
For women, the MeUndies Swim collection features one-piece bathing suits along with two different bikini styles, including a scoop or plunge bikini top and high-waist cheeky or swim bikini bottoms.
According to the brand, the sustainable yet soft pieces are made from recycled nylon and discarded fishing nets.
For men, the line includes both regular and long swim trunks, with each comfy and stretchy pair made from around eight recycled plastic bottles.
The swim collection has been launched over three drops this summer starting 11 May with limited edition prints Rock Lobster, Birds of Paradise and Angles and colours black, white and Terra Cotta.
The next launch will be on 21 May and will include three new prints inspired by sea creatures as well as in a solid Scuba Blue. The final drop is slated for mid-June and will feature all new nautical colours and prints.
