German sportswear giant adidas’ has opened its first flagship store ‘The Home of Possibilities’ in India, which is special in many ways.
Spread in 5,900 square feet of retail area across 4 floors, the new store is located in the heart of the Delhi, Connaught Place.
The store is a blend of multiple digital touch points, sustainability zone and embodies the future of retail experience for consumers.
It is the first LEED-certified adidas store in the country. The store flooring is made with upcycled carbon tiles made of carbon collected from environmental pollution.
The store houses a dedicated ‘Sustainability Zone’. Displaying the End Plastic Waste logo, the zone features adidas’ best sustainable collection.
Its concept is brought to life inspired by the brand’s ‘OWN THE GAME’ strategy that focuses on 3 important aspects: experience, sustainability and credibility.
The store offers consumers an innovative technological experience; it features 32 digital touch points which are powered by green energy, and the store encapsulates the use of advanced technology, which includes immersive screens, digital plinths and ceiling screens to give customers a superior digital shopping experience.
Sunil Gupta, Senior Director, adidas India said, “The Home of Possibilities’ is the very best of our brand in an unrivalled way that brings a global shopping experience under one roof. Our aim is to reimagine the ‘phygital experience through innovation, creativity and design, which further offers our consumers a unique shopping experience. We have also brought in local flavours and elements, through the artwork in store, the zones featuring our national athletes and quirky local prints in the customisation zone.”
The store has a dedicated section for customisation, personalisation and localisation; the Delhi Print Shop offers the consumers a bespoke digital DIY experience where the customers can get their tees customised and personalised in the real time.
The store introduces a dedicated ‘Outdoor’ collection zone for hiking and trail running adventurers with skylight ceiling. The space will also house a dedicated ‘Originals’ section in the ‘Collection’ concept along with men’s performance and basketball section. The store has an exclusive floor dedicated to the football collection for its shoppers featuring a digital footwear wall, victory mannequin, lit crest and LED field lines on the ceiling.
