On 1st May, the UK’s first livestream shopping event will be held by the online marketplace eBay. Comedian Katherine Ryan and Amy Bannerman, the retailer’s pre-loved style director, will present the interactive webcast, which will showcase a variety of ensembles from Ryan’s personal collection.
In real time, viewers will be able to buy previously owned fashion pieces by Ryan, including ensembles she has worn on the red carpet for her Netflix series “The Duchess” and on stage at her comedy appearances. All proceeds will be sent to the nonprofit Women’s Health Information and Support Centre.
Along with a variety of the vintage merchant Messina Hembry’s own pre-owned pieces, such as striking bomber jackets, oversized blazers, and sequin dresses, all things will be offered as “buy it now” on the online platform.
In addition, vintage items from the Love Island wardrobe that Bannerman sourced for Tasha Ghouri’s final dress will be on display during the eBay Live launch party.
Ahead of the event, Ryan said in a statement, “I’ve always enjoyed being playful with clothes and am known for my sense of style so I’m really excited to be partnering with eBay to clear out my wardrobe now there are no fashion fees to sell pre-loved fashion.
