In a bid to make up for the delayed start and address excess stock, fashion retailers are implementing earlier and more substantial discounts this summer.
ASOS has recently introduced a Sample Sale website where it offers its own-brand products at discounted prices.
High street retailers are currently hosting summer sales with deeper discounts, aiming to clear excess stock resulting from over-buying during the pandemic and a decline in consumer demand. With discounts of up to 60 per cent off, prominent brands like New Look, River Island, John Lewis, French Connection, and H&M are offering enticing deals.
Additionally, Quiz, Next, JD Sports, and Monsoon have sales with discounts of up to 50 per cent off, providing excellent opportunities to seize fantastic deals from your favorite retailers.
According to the CEO of a women’s clothing retailer, “The season had a delayed start, leading many high street retailers to begin their sales early due to an excess of stock. However, the recent pleasant weather and notable events like Ascot and the Chelsea Flower Show have positively impacted sales. While the challenging start of the season hasn’t been completely resolved, the strong finish is certainly encouraging.”
