The Director General of Bangladesh’s Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection, AHM Shafiquzzaman, recently maintained errant e-commerce entities in Bangladesh must return the consumers’ money latest by 31 March.
According to reports, Shafiquzzaman made this observation recently while participating in an event organised by the Commerce Ministry to return the consumers’ money which is stuck at the payment gateways of two e-commerce entities.
“…law enforcement agencies have been given directives; the Commerce Ministry will take legal actions, if the e-commerce firms don’t pay back to the consumers by 31 March,” reportedly, stated the DG of Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection.
Shafiquzzaman further, reportedly, added the Government will not shut down the e-commerce business owing to some unscrupulous firms.
