
Homegrown sustainable brand Doodlage has announced its latest collaboration with Jaipur-based zero waste brand Iro Iro titled ‘Indigo Chronicles’.
The Doodlage x Iro Iro collection will be Delhi-based brand’s first upcycled home collection designed with local artisans from villages around Jaipur.
The collection will consist of home furnishings and garments including cushion covers, robes, slippers, table runners and mats.
Doodlage’s official website will carry the collaboration that is to be priced starting at Rs. 600, going up to Rs. 5,200.
Making the announcement on their website, Doodlage wrote, “‘Indigo Chronicles’ tells the story of the vast textile industry of Jaipur through waste. Indigo, one of the most commonly used natural dyes for all kinds of hand printing in the city, is easy to spot around the city.”
Additionally, a spokesperson for the company spoke to Vogue India about the new collection, “This layered project has allowed us to experiment with and explore alternatives, in collaboration with the extremely capable team at Iro Iro. We have the chance to work with local artisans from villages near Jaipur, who helped create this collection from their houses, operating with all precautions through this pandemic.”
Doodlage was started by Kriti Tula and Paras Arora as an endeavour to create ethical fashion by increasing sustainable textile production and agriculture.
Currently, the brand retails through multiple online and offline MBOs as well their their own experience store in New Delhi.
