Dior has taken retailing to a whole new level by opening a ski pop-up store at the Lake Songhua Seibu Prince Hotel in Jilin Province, China. The brand has used replicated Avenue Montaigne flagship made entirely of ice.
This is the first time that the brand has used the ice sculpting technique to build a pop-up location.
Building small replicas of famous locations from around the world out of ice and adorning them with vibrant lighting is a custom in some areas of Northern China during the winter months to amplify the celebrations around the Lunar New Year.
The renowned Parisian store is transformed into a ‘Frozen’-style winter castle during the Dior pop-up by using ice sculptures to display the brand’s iconic goods, like the Bar jacket, Lady Dior purse and Miss Dior perfume bottle, which is open until February 28.
For those who simply glide down the slope, a cafe is set up in a tent opposite the ice exhibit, providing Dior-branded hot chocolate, biscuits and macarons.
