PVH Corp. has announced that Daniel Grieder will be stepping down from the position of CEO of Tommy Hilfiger Global and PVH Europe after having spent around 23 years in the conglomerate, handling various roles of management.
He is leaving the company to pursue other interests and will be succeeded by Martijn Hagman, who currently serves as the COO of Tommy Hilfiger Global and PVH Europe, and the CFO of Tommy Hilfiger Global.
Martijn seems to be the perfect fit for fulfilling the position as he has been associated with Tommy Hilfiger’s leadership team for over 12 years, overseeing a variety of functions like finance, technology, business development and digital business transformation, among others.
He has also been instrumental in Tommy Hilfiger’s global expansion and the consistent growth in PVH’s Europe arm.
Both Daniel and Martijn have personally worked with designer Tommy Hilfiger to understand the essence of the brand.
Daniel has had a rich history with Tommy Hilfiger, becoming the CEO in 2014. He was voted Rivet’s 50 most influential people in denim and during his time as CEO, Tommy Hilfiger’s business grew from retail sales of US $ 6 billion to US $ 9 billion in 2019.
