Burlington, previously known as Burlington Coat Factory, is preparing to extend on Staten Island in New York City by introducing a second location. This expansion will bring Burlington’s assortment of deals and designer brands to a prominent anchor spot at The Boulevard shopping centre in New Dorp during the upcoming fall season.
The retail space for the store, situated on the second floor of the shopping centre, will span approximately 31,630 square feet. This establishment aims to contribute to the recently vacated area by Party City, effectively filling the void.
“Burlington is excited to announce the upcoming opening of a new store in Staten Island this fall. The store will provide low prices on brand-name products for the entire family and home.” said a spokesperson. They expressed excitement about the new location, highlighting their commitment to providing exceptional bargains and job opportunities to the local community.
Since 2004, the retailer has been serving customers at its store in Travis’ West Shore Plaza, with only a temporary closure to address damage inflicted by Hurricane Sandy. According to a representative from Burlington, this new store represents an expansion, and the company intends to maintain operations at both locations within the borough.
