UK-based women’s inner wear retailer Boux Avenue has roped in former Marks and Spencer director Michael Kerr as its first Chief Executive Officer.
During his tenure with M&S, Kerr led the charge of menswear, homeware and kidswear sections along with serving at a senior-level position for the company’s lingerie segment.
The latest appointment will give Michael the responsibility to lead the 7-year-old brand that currently trades from 30 outlets across the country.
Theo Paphitis, Owner & Chairman, Boux Avenue elucidated that the brand has now established itself and was all set to go to the next phase. “We’ve been continuously investing in the business, having just launched our 30th outlet in the country and acquired our own freehold warehouse and distribution centre in Crewe,” Theo said.
He further mentioned that the brand’s online segment is also yielding positive results and the company is thrilled to have the experience of Michael on board at a stage when the label is eyeing to expand and introduce new categories in a bid to grow its business. “Michael’s experience will be critical in taking Boux Avenue forward and will also provide us with the edge over others in the market,” he added.
On his appointment at the women’s wear brand, Michael Kerr affirmed, “It is exciting to lead a brand which is doing well and help it through the next phase of development, creating strong foundations and customer loyalty.”
