In its continual commitment to bring transparency in its supply chain, British fashion e-tailer Boohoo has published an extensive list of 1,100 international suppliers.
The e-tailer has said that it has achieved 28 of 34 recommendations made by the inquiry led by Sir Brian Leveson.
The remaining recommendations are, reportedly, expected to be completed in next few months.
Sir Brian Leveson was hired by the fashion e-tailer last year to oversee an overhaul of its supply chain following the allegation of poor working conditions practiced in Boohoo’s supplier factories in Leicester.
After implementing some strict measures over the course of the year to improve the working conditions, Boohoo has now listed down details of 1,100 factories following extensive period of mapping and auditing that had begun last year.
Earlier this year, Boohoo had taken a major step by publishing the names of its 78 suppliers in the UK.

Notably, the 17 recommendations were broken down into 34 deliverables, which was a part of the Agenda for Change programme that is being overseen by Sir Brian Leveson.
The move to publish the names of international suppliers is another major development for the e-tailer in 2021 – a year that also saw Boohoo acquire bigwigs like Debenhams and Arcadia brands.
Boohoo Group, which owns PrettyLittleThing and Nasty Gal, amongst others, generates revenue of US $ 856.9 million.
