India’s leading e-commerce brand Flipkart is looking to fill top-level positions after the exit of their CEO Binny Bansal last week. The company’s interim CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy affirmed the media that the e-commerce firm is searching for chief technology officer (CTO) and chief product officer (CPO).
Markedly, Flipkart’s CPO Punit Soni left the company two years back and the online retailer transferred its CTO Ravi Garikipati to lead the fin-tech segment. It was Krishnamurthy to whom the tech team was reporting to, since then.
Reportedly, several executives of the firm had parted ways with the Walmart-owned e-retailer when Krishnamurthy took charge from Binny last week, and the roles he had taken on became vacant, the company is looking to fill those roles in the coming time.
In the next couple of weeks, the CEO is expected to meet with some of the leading headhunters. However, a spokesperson from Flipkart denied any such development in the firm.
Notably, Flipkart recently roped in an HR Head; Smriti Singh. This post was vacant since the last 18 months. She will be joining the organisation next month, expecting to help the firm fill in roles for its loyalty initiative Flipkart Plus, which the company launched to take on its arch-rival Amazon’s prime.
