
Improving inventory accuracy and visibility in retail categories, Avery Dennison Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS), the world’s premier provider of RFID-based inventory management systems for apparel, has introduced new RFID labels for the apparel industry.
Introducing Ultra High Frequency (UHF) inlays, tags and labels that can provide a read distance of up to 15 feet, Francisco Melo, Vice President of
Global RFID, Avery Dennison said, “The new UHF Gen2-compliant solutions are the perfect complement to our portfolio of technology solutions and make it easier, faster and more cost-effective to implement RFID programs that improve inventory accuracy, visibility and maximize ROI.”
Some of the new solutions introduced are: AD-320u7 – representing the smallest label size to provide excellent read range performance on a broad range of item-level apparel categories, reducing label complexity across the supply chain; AD-172u7 – for use in retail environments for fashion and fine jewellery; AD-180u7 – designed for eye shadow and cylindrical type packaging; AD-383u7 & AD-381m5 – developed for item-level apparel applications and major global retailers, among others.
Demonstrated at the RFID Journal Live event in Orlando recently, the company also developed a solution benefiting the jewellery, cosmetics, healthcare, housewares and the footwear industry that’s difficult to serve till now.
