Authentic Brands Group has announced the appointment of Sanjeet Mehta as its new Executive Vice President and Head of India, signaling a strategic move to bolster its presence in the region. Mehta brings over 25 years of experience in the retail, sales, business development, and marketing sectors to his new role.
Henry Stupp, Authentic’s Regional President, EMEIA, highlighted Mehta’s extensive expertise in licensing, retail, and brand management as crucial assets for driving the company’s India strategy. Mehta’s professional background includes a recent role as Executive Director at The Walt Disney Company, where he led consumer products and retail across multiple regions. He has also held key positions at Murjani Group, Nimbus Communications, and Villeroy & Boch.
In his new role, Mehta will focus on expanding Authentic’s brand footprint in India, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. He will collaborate with Henry Stupp to strengthen the company’s market position. Authentic Brands Group identifies India as a significant growth market and aims to develop a robust retail, e-commerce, and licensing network spanning fashion, sports, home, and entertainment.
