Japan-based sportswear brand ASICS has taken human-centric design to next level at ASICS’ Innovation Summit 2021.
The sportswear brand has announced the launch of two high-performance running shoes at the summit – the brand’s annual showcase of the very pinnacle of new performance sportswear.
METASPEED™ Sky and METASPEED™ Edge have been scientifically designed wherein athletes don’t have to adjust their running style to fit the shoe anymore.
Yes, these ASICS’s shoes will now support athletes’ running style – that’s an industry first and that’s what makes these products stand out.
Following extensive research and development process, ASICS has made METASPEED™ Sky for STRIDE runners and METASPEED™ Edge for CADENCE runners.
Notably, both are specially optimised and proven to enhance runner performance for each of the two major running styles.
Excited over the launch, Kenichi Harano, Executive Officer and Senior General Manager at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science, said that after a lengthy and meticulous research,METASPEED™ Sky and METASPEED™ Edge were born.
Kenichi further added “Our initial tests are already showing them to have an impact on the times of the elite runners’ we’ve been working with.”
