Adidas has launched a new one-day international (ODI) jersey at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters in Mumbai. The unveiling was led by Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the Indian women’s cricket team.
In future competitions, both the men’s and women’s teams will don the new jersey. Adidas and the BCCI have been working together for two years, and the alliance is still providing the teams with travel gear, training clothes, and matchwear.
“Our unwavering support for women in sport is demonstrated by the launch of the all-new ODI jersey with the India women’s team,” said Neelendra Singh, General Manager at Adidas India, who expressed satisfaction with the collaboration.
“The shirt is a symbol of the progress and continued recognition of women’s cricket in India,” Harmanpreet Kaur said, highlighting its significance. “This shirt inspires us to give it our all, which is Adidas’ focus on performance wear.”
Last year, Adidas secured exclusive rights to design and manufacture jerseys, kits, and merchandise for India’s men’s, women’s, and U-19 cricket teams.
