Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios is all set to open its second store in Los Angeles in the spring of 2018.
The new shop will be located in the burgeoning retail neighbourhood of Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, California.
An initial teaser announcement regarding the possible new store came a month ago through the Jonny Johansson-led brand’s Instagram account. The post showed a bright millennial pink wall with Acne Studios labelled over with the caption, “#AcneStudios opening soon in West Hollywood”.
The 1,650 square feet space was previously occupied by a local art gallery and sounds like a match made in heaven for artistic Swedish brand.
The brand has not yet announced the exact opening date for the store but it is expected to be slated for anytime this summer.
The new Acne location will be opened in close proximity to the boutique stores of Helmut Lang, Maxfield, Marc Jacobs and James Perse. Another famous cult streetwear brand A Bathing Ape will also be opening its store in the vicinity this year.
Prior to this, the cult favourite label famous for its clean minimalism opened its doors in 2013 to a 5,000-square-foot store on the ninth street of Broadway in LA’s high-end Fashion District. The brand has stores all across the globe in the big fashion cities including London, Sydney, Tokyo, Milan and Melbourne among others.
